We are looking for an experienced and hardworking Camp Manager to oversee camp operations at our clients’ camps which are located in different National Parks.
Job Overview: A Camp Manager is a leader to staff and overseer of all camp activities. A Camp Manager is a role model to all staff members, they will look and act according to their manager’s behaviour, and if comes in 20 min before their shift starts the staff will also do the same.

Camp manager job vacancy in Tanzania 2023
The Manager should be clean & dressed in uniform to hygienic standards described in appearance &behavior, as they are the face of the company.
Duties, Responsibilities & Performance Standards
- Communicate with the reservation department on the client’s arrival and departure.
- Greet and brief basic information about the camp to clients.
- Managing client services and activities during their stay at the camp.
- Answering any inquiries relating to camp policies and services and resolving any client complaints.
- Upholding the mission, vision statement, and goals of the Company, detecting errors and irregularities which could otherwise cost the company.
- Work together with other staff and management in a smooth, safe, and harmonious manner to ensure clients have a memorable stay at the camp.
- Inspect client rooms, public areas, and grounds for cleanliness and appearance.
- Ensure clients are well served their meals and drinks,
- Lead, manage, teach, and coach camp teams, including support members, food services, housekeeping, laundry, maintenance, and other team members.
- Inspect clients’ rooms, public areas, and grounds for cleanliness and appearance.
- Oversee assigned duties of staff to ensure cleanliness, safety,and compliance with the set rules.
- Coordinating back of House activities at the camp like maintenance and asset management.
- Maintain good documentation and follow all operational procedures such as coordination and supervision of all administrative issues touching on the management of the camp and linked items, logistics, and vehicle movement, including data and maintenance of records to ensure they are updated in a form for purposes of effective informationmanagement systems.
- Managing the movement of staff according to company policy.
- Production of weekly and monthly reports of camp progress to the Operations manager/ head office.
- Managing staff information and ensuring good staff working morale,handlingdisciplinary matters, and grievances at the camp level,and coordinating the same with the operations manager and human resource department.

General Requirements
• Minimum 2 years experience in the hospitality industry
• Previous experience working in camps will be highly valued
• Education in Hospitality and Hotel Management is preferable
• Good English speaking
• Leadership skills, guest-oriented, strong communication skills
• Team orientation, loyalty, and excellent leadership skills
• Flexibility, commitment, dedication, and reliability
• Good manners,a positive attitude, and a hospitable service-oriented attitude
• Age between 30-45 years old
