Manager, Platform

JOB PURPOSE

To design commercialisation models, identify potential producers, donors, and other partners that will deliver solutions and services that add value to platform users and merchants. To design ecosystems, playbooks and other producer related requirements and support the technical development, implementation, and go-to-market processes for these.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

  • Develop strategies related to identifying, growing, and establishing collaborative agreements with platform producers, partners, donors, and other commercial partnerships that support the overall platform strategy.
  • Draft commercials models, along with the necessary goals and metrics to identify processes and accurately define the intention and success factors required to achieve success of the platform business, considering multiple and specific ecosystems, new markets, required liquidity and value-add to the end user (both customer and merchants). stanbic jobs 2022
  • Engage the appropriate group and executive leaders for approval and sign off, supporting where required with business cases, research, and best practice evidence.
  • Review the performance and commercialisation processes of new or continued product development and partnering opportunities in order to identify the best scaling and commercialisation opportunities for optimum growth, guiding the team responsible for the scaling and go-to-market implementation as needed.
  • Participate in the viability assessment of identified development opportunities.
  • Support the development team and technology partners to deliver the most appropriate platform technology and functionality set according to agile development and testing principles (delivery).
  • Drive the operational excellence principle adopting best practice for the platform business creating a coherent link between people, processes, and technology.
  • Develop client engagement models and aftersales frameworks, including customer onboarding/retention framework for inclusion into the platform development and processes.
  • Monitor attrition and utilisation of the platform in order to identify appropriate platform changes related to client management.
  • Identify, grow, and develop relationships, with the aim of retaining a viable selection of platform producers, partners, donors, and other commercial partnerships to improve liquidity, accessibility and other commercial indicators that drive the virality and large scale end-user adoption and commercialisation of the platform.
  • Monitor and measure partner performance in accordance with the defined contract principles and commercial agreements.
  • Collaborate closely with governance functions of the bank to maintain most appropriate governance, risk, and security practices, with special consideration to cross-border engagement, exchange control and related risks and frameworks.
  • Identify additional governance bodies and representatives required for commercialisation processes, based on the addition of partners, services and customer offerings.
  • Draft and gain approval for the implementation of partner service level agreements/standards.
  • Advise and guide commercial partners in compliance to regulatory requirements.
  • Address and close out internal, risk or regulatory findings within defined timeline, engaging team members as required.
  • Unpack the ecosystem; players, partners, producers, donors, pain points, commercial levers, defining use cases and demonstrate ecosystem viability.
  • Collaborate with the team responsible for the technical development of the platform business, to provide insight into commercialisation goals and processes and guide the identification, development, and improvement of current and future platform products.
  • Engage the appropriate commercial partners (producers, donors, etc.) to contract with them for the commercialisation of the platform, onboarding them as required.
  • Educate possible and existing commercial partners on the platform offerings, possibilities, and functionality to raise awareness and drive adoption to support platform strategic targets.
  • Adopt an agile approach to test possible collaborations, developments or monetisation opportunities that would support the scaling, virality and commercialisation of the platform, and implement successful options for scaling purposes and identify amendments to (or rejections of) unsuccessful possibilities.
  • Guide and drive the development of marketing strategies, related collateral, and activities to support platform commercialisation.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • First degree in Business & Commerce
  • Agile project management experience
  • Must have at least 5 years working experience in business development, commercialisation, relationship management or product management role
