Our priority throughout this time has been to enable students to progress with their education in the fairest, and safest, way possible.
Most of our schools around the world held exams in the June 2023 series. A small proportion of schools were moved to our Portfolio of Evidence route because local or national restrictions meant they could not run exams.
No matter which route you took in June 2023, you will receive a fair and recognised grade from Cambridge International.

cambridge exams 2023 timetable
For Cambridge International qualifications, this means we will aim for our exam standard to return to the pre-pandemic standard in June 2023. For June 2022, November 2022 and March 2023, we will set standards at a midpoint between 2019 and 2021.
How will June 2023 grades compare with previous years?
Like UK exam boards we have considered the impact of the pandemic on students as we grade the exams.
To reflect that we are in a pandemic recovery period we are moving gradually from the June 2021 standard of school-assessed grades back to the standard of exams in 2019.
We are doing this in two equal steps – first in 2022 and again in 2023. So the standard of exams in June 2022 is at the midpoint between the standards of 2021 and 2019.
In other words, the grades awarded in June 2022 are more generous than those awarded in 2019, and less generous than those awarded in June 2021.

We created Cambridge IGCSE more than 30 years ago. Today, it’s the world’s most popular international qualification for 14 to 16 year olds.
Not only is it truly international – it gives students more options than any other international qualification.
Is IGCSE harder than GCSE?
The GCSE is considered more rigorous because the rules are more stringent, such as the fact that students can only sit for the GCSE exams in June and resits can be taken in November each year. Therefore, the IGCSE is considered “easier” due to its flexible nature.
How long does it take to get IGCSE results?
Typically, exam results are available online 9-10 weeks after you take your exams.
