The company produces Coca-Cola, the sugary drink for which it is best known for, invented in 1886 by pharmacist John Stith Pemberton.
At the time, the product was made with coca leaves, which added an amount of cocaine to the drink, and with kola nuts, which added caffeine, so that the coca and the kola together provided a simulative effect.
This stimulative effect is the reason the drink was sold to the public as a healthy “tonic”, and the coca and the kola are also the source of the name of the product and of the company.
In 1889, the formula and brand were sold for $2,300 (roughly $68,000 in 2021) to Asa Griggs Candler, who incorporated The Coca-Cola Company in Atlanta in 1892.
Job Description
Coca-Cola Kwanza Ltd has an exciting opportunity in Finance Department. We are looking for a talented individual with relevant skills and experience in Controls & Governance Manager Position to be based in Dar es Salaam. The successful candidate will report to Finance Director.
Key Duties & Responsibilities: Coca-cola tanzania
- The primary responsibilities of the incumbent will be to ensuring existence of a robust risk and control environment that effectively manages risks and supports business growth.
- Responsible for creating and maintaining local policies and chart of authority aligned with Coca-Cola Beverage Africa and The Coca-Cola Company standard policies and chart of authority;
- Conduct independent testing of processes, procedures and controls in accordance with the Risk and Control Model;
- Highlight key governance, control and process deficiencies to the operational teams and agree mitigations steps to close out. nafasi za kazi coca cola 2022
- Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure findings are closed out within agreed timelines;
- Prepare risk and governance reports for the audit committee and compile the audit committee deck;
- Drive changes to the documented processes and procedures to reduce operational risk through partnering with key stakeholders;
- Custodian of the business continuity plan and coordinator of risk assessment meetings.
Skills, Experience & Education
- The applicant should have at least a degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, professional certification such as CPA/ACCA/CISA/CIA,
- At least 4 years relevant experience with previous experience in manufacturing an added advantage. Good business acumen, outstanding analytical skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, excellent writing skills and ability to interact with people at various levels.
