We are looking for an experienced Security Operator for Our client located in Arusha.(Security Operations Job Vacancy)
Job description: This job position is meant as a guide to the scope of duties involved. The post
holder will need to be flexible and adaptable in order to respond to other duties that may be required from time to time and the changes and developments within the service.

Job description:
- To provide overall operations and monitoring of CCTV
- Monitoring people in different locations to identify instances of suspicious or unusual behaviour.
- To perform all required system and other checks or duties given, handle and document inquiries, and escalate as required.
- CCTV Operator responsible for the security of the Control Room and its contents, including the security of data only authorized personnel are permitted access to the Control Room and they must be booked in and out.
- The Operator is responsible for keeping the Control Room clean and tidy at all times.
- To monitor cameras in all parking areas around the company’s premises.
- To keep a record of all visitors through gate passes and in a logbook.
- Monitoring surveillance equipment and inspecting buildings and equipment.
- To operate the CCTV system in accordance with the legislation regarding the use of CCTV and the Operational Manual, Standard Operating Procedures, and any other instructions issued from time to time.
- Prevents losses and damage to any property owned by the Company by reporting irregularities and informing the Management.
- Monitor any emergency situation which develops within the services area of responsibility and carry out the actions laid down to resolve the issue.
- Carry out and log daily equipment checks and report all faults and failures of CCTV or IT, or communication equipment as soon as they occur to the contractors responsible for their maintenance and record all details in the faults log.
- Responsible for protecting the lives and property of the Company.
- To maintain flexibility and a willingness to work additional hours,
- Providing efficient and courteous radio and telephone answering service and dealing efficiently with all inquiries.
- Liaising with security staff or police on the ground to provide detailed intelligence about suspects, such as their appearance, actions, or location.
- Ensuring the CCTV system is fully functioning, and that video footage is recorded and stored appropriately.
- CCTV operator can also play an important part in safeguarding staff who are working without direct supervision.
Qualifications
- • Willingness and ready to work in a flexible environment.
- Three years of experience as a CCTV security operator.
- Relatively physically fit and stamina to work long hours.
- High level of self-motivation and commitment
- Team working with strong communication skills is highly recommended.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Private/commercial security experience/background is an advantage.
- Ability to identify small, apparently unnoticeable details that most people would ordinarily overlook.
- Ability to work independently and multitask.
- Good computer experience
- CCTV certification will be an added advantage.
- Excellent observation and an eye for detail
- The ability to think quickly and logically to respond to an emergency.
