This is a perfect way for typical students to learn about those with disabilities and for the those with disabilities be treated with respect and further their education in order to one day be self-sufficient, contributing members of the Tanzanian society.
Until the building of St Pamachius Inclusive Secondary School, this was not possible.
Over the past several years, we have watched this school grow from an empty dirt field into now a growing, promising reality. There are 275 students currently in Forms 1-3 (i.e., similar to 9th – 11th grade in the U.S.).
Currently there are not enough classrooms for the students now enrolled. Form 3 students are meeting in the Dining Hall due to lack of space. Teaching Jobs at St.Pamachius Inclusive Secondary School
Six additional classrooms and science labs are under construction now to accommodate students through Forms 4, 5 and 6; they will be completed in October 2021.
This will allow additional students to join Form 1 next year (2021-2022 school year) and for those already enrolled to complete both their “ordinary” studies (Forms 1 – 4) and their “advanced” studies (Forms 5 & 6) to prepare them for university or technical schools upon graduation
