The Zimbabwe Schools Examinations Council (Zimsec) released the 2019 O-Level results at the beginning of this week. The overall pass rate for November 2019 is 20.72 percent, which means that almost 80% of students who took O-Level exams in November 2019 FAILED.

Dr. Lazarus Dokora, who is the Minister of Education, was happy with the 20.72% pass rate. He said that it was better than the 18.4% pass rate from last year.

The pass rate for female students was 18.51 percent, while the pass rate for male students was 27.41 percent. This is a difference of 8.9 percent.
