Graduate Trainees (6 Posts)
Responsibilities:
- Performing assigned tasks during fieldwork or visiting different work sites when required.
- Gathering as much information on the assigned tasks and participating in on-the-job training wherever possible.
- Participating in meetings, workshops, and team-building events.
- Taking notes on experiences and keeping a log of things learned. Compiling reports and making presentations to other staff members. Analysing existing systems and offering new ideas for improvement.
- Bringing positive energy into the company and forming lasting professional relationships with staff and clients alike.
- Conducting research on project assignments and assisting the supervisor wherever possible.
- Always upholding the good name of the company.
- Writing a test or submitting to some other form of evaluation at the end of the graduate program.
Requirements and Skills
- Graduate in the field of accounting, finance, economics, law, business
- administration, engineering or any equivalent discipline from a recognized Higher Learning Institution with a performance of at least 4.0 GPA

Assurance Manager
Job Profile & Key Qualification
Reporting directly to the Managing Partner and indirectly to the Partners, the Assurance Manager/Tax Manager will lead and manage multiple operations of the assurance/tax practice to deliver quality services, that will optimize results and increase Shepherd’s reputation in service excellence. You will serve as business advisor to our clients aiming at maximizing engagement and achieving qualitative outcomes.
The ideal candidate should possess undergraduate degrees in accounting, finance, economics, law, business administration, engineering or equivalent from a recognized higher learning institution with a performance of at least 4.0 GPA and must be qualified and registered by a relevant professional and regulatory body as a public practicing professional by the date of making this application. The ideal candidate will have a total professional working experience of at least 6 years, two of which must be in managerial position.
Key Responsibilities
- Effective and efficient management of the assurance/tax processes with appropriate consideration of audit/tax risk issues and accounting technical matters.
- Lead and manage clients’ fieldwork including liaising with other departments to ensure the smooth delivery of the engagement process.
- Review work prepared by junior personnel for sign off by the Partner.
- Identify areas requiring improvement in the client’s business processes and possible recommendations, prepare and deliver the written recommendations to be provided to the client.

- Provide on-the-job training to junior staff for developing auditing/tax skills and assess their performance from time to time.

Job Profile & Key Qualification
Reporting directly to the Tax Manager, the ideal candidate should possess an undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, economics, law, business administration, engineering or equivalent from a recognized higher learning institution with a performance of at least 4.0 GPA. and should have qualified and registered in/by a relevant professional and regulatory body by the date of the application of this post. The candidate should have a total professional experience of at least 4 years, one of which must be in a senior position.
Key Responsibilities
- Build relationships and interact with clients to provide excellent planning, consulting, and expertise
- Deliver a full range of tax services in compliance with laws and regulations of the country we operate and within timeframe
- Review client’s complex transactions attracting tax exposures and provide innovative tax planning
- Handle various client’s tax dispute resolutions and may represent clients in tax courts
- Perform risk management procedures on client engagement and execution to ensure that customer acceptance and service delivery complies with the firm’s KYC and risk management procedures.
