Mzumbe University was established by the Mzumbe University Charter, 2007 under Section 25 of the Universities Act. No. 7 of 2005 which repealed Mzumbe University Act. No 9 of 2001. As a Training Institute, the University boasts of over 50 years of experience of training in the administration of justice, business management, public administration, accountancy, finance, political science, and good governance.
Mzumbe University origin can be traced back to 1953 when the British Colonial Administration established a Local Government School in the country.

Announcement for applicants with multiple admissions for the 2023/2024 academic year
This is to inform you that selection for the first round Bachelor Degree Programmes is now ready. The list of selected candidates to join various Bachelor Degree Programmes is available on this Admission page.
All selected candidates with multiple admissions are required to login into their admission accounts and request for confirmation codes. Once you get your confirmation Code you will use the same to confirm your admission at Mzumbe University.

Confirmation has to be done immediately after receiving the codes. If you encounter any difficulties in confirmation process please contact us through mobile numbers listed on the admission homepage.
All unselected candidates in the first round are invited to re-apply for the second round of
application. Re-application can be made without additional costs using your previously created
admission account where you will get a link to do so.
All programmes are still having admission slots. However, your academic performance will determine your competitive edge in the selection pool. You are therefore advised to apply for the programmes which you can compete successfully based on your academic performance. The second round of applications will start on 24th August, 2023.
To confirm your admission please follow the following steps:
- Login to your admission profile in the University admission system.
- Request a confirmation code through a link in your admission profile.
- You will receive a SPECIAL CODE sent to you via SMS or will be show in the system.
- Enter the SPECIAL CODE you received into your admission profile to complete your confirmation.
