In 2010 in the first month the hospital started providing inpatient services and later until now the reproductive health service started . To date the hospital serves more than 1.9 million residents in and out of Mbeya city. The hospital has 56 beds for the Department of Internal Medicine, 46 the Department of Reproductive Health, 62 the Children’s Department and makes the whole hospital a total of 180 beds.
